TV IN HIGH HEELS: DANCING WITH THE STARS RECAP FOR OCTOBER 10, 2016
Hello and welcome to Dancing With The Stars on ABC. Tonight is Most Memorable Year night for our dancers. Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews are hosting, Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Julianne Hough are judging. Len Goodman is in England judging Strictly Come Dancing. Let’s get this party started!
We open with some dance number that is somehow honoring the movie Titanic. That is so….random, but okay! I remember this movie had every girl in my high school swooning over Leonardo DiCaprio and crying when his character died in the movie. Anyway, Andre Rio did amazing orchestrating the music and Mandy Moore did a fabulous job choreographing.
My most memorable year: 2015. My goddaughter Isabella was born. She is the daughter of my best friend Jennifer. When I was asked to be her godmother, not only was it an honor, but it was a game changer in my life. I knew everything I did, every decision I made was now going to have to be with her in mind. My job now was to set a good example and to be a good role model for her because she would be watching everything I did in my life. She is the light of my life and I love her more than I could ever put into words. I cannot thank Jenny and Sebastian enough for allowing me to have this honor. Isabella, Auntie Sassy loves you!!!

FIHH: I never knew she had struggled with addiction and am glad she was able to change her life for the better. As for her dancing, this is the best routine she has ever done. She flows on stage and finally seems to have let go and let us see Maureen.
Julianne: Art imitating life and she is what this show is all about.
Bruno: Absolutely angelic.
Carrie Ann: Slow and steady wins the race.

Dance: Jazz
FIHH: They are so cute together and I love this song. I feel like it focuses more on the lifts more than the jazz, but overall it is a great job and I love how Jerry was there at the end. As we all know, he came in second place in season 2!
Bruno: They had natural ease and charisma.
Carrie Ann: He brings out the fun, but work on the musicality a bit.
Julianne: They are magic.

FIHH: Um, yeah. West coast? Youtube viewers? Have tissues ready. That had me in tears. Not only the dance, which was beautiful, but hearing about how she was in such an abusive relationship. WOW. I don’t even know what to say.
Carrie Ann: This was her breakthrough dance.
Julianne: She is in tears and says this is a great gift for her daughter.
Bruno: Astounding.

FIHH: I love the way he loves his mom. The dance is beautiful and I love those lifts. Him hugging his mom sealed the deal for me. His best dance.
Julianne: Very impressive.
Bruno: Most honest performance to date.
Carrie Ann: His best performance.

FIHH: This seemed to be a difficult week for her, but my jaw was on the floor the entire time. WOW. She is definitely in the finals!
Bruno: A force of nature and an incredible dancer. However, there were some mistakes.
Carrie Ann: She didn’t need the beginning, but she did enjoy the rest.
Julianne: She gives them pointers on where to improve, but overall she enjoyed it.

Most Memorable Year: 1970, mom dying and booking Taxi
Dance: Viennese Waltz
FIHH: Beautiful, classy and elegant. It was pure Marilu through and through. It was her best dance and a breakthrough that she needed.
Carrie Ann: She allowed herself to be great.
Julianne: She can tell how much she wants this.
Bruno: She is another woman tonight.

Most Memorable Year: 2013, when her son was born
Dance: Samba
FIHH: This was one of her better dances. She needs to work on not being so stiff, but overall, she is improving. I understand her stress and am glad she was able to power through and put on a fun, sexy performance.
Julianne: She needs to remember Maks is there and while they are good apart, they need to work on being together.
Bruno: He loved it, but she needs to work on some things.
Carrie Ann: She was incredible.

Most Memorable Year: 2015, when he had his car crash and almost lost his life.
Dance: Tango
FIHH: His story completely made me believe in miracles. WOW. I am even more in love now than I was in the past, not only because of his story and dancing, but because of how strong and amazing he is….WOW. Tonight he proved he also belongs in the finals.
Bruno: That is how you attack a tango!
Carrie Ann: He is a miracle and the one to beat.
Julianne: He needs a tiny bit more to be unstoppable.

FIHH:What a way to end the night. Beautiful, elegant and dreamy. That was incredible an her best dance to date. Her dad would be so proud.
Carrie Ann: She loved it and thinks her father would too.
Julianne: so many people are proud of her.
Bruno:Her father would have loved this.
