STAMFORD, Conn. – May 28, 2017Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins begin their quest to become the first repeat Stanley Cup champions in nearly 20 years tomorrow night at 8 p.m. ET on NBC, when they host P.K. Subban and the Nashville Predators in Game 1 of the 2017 Stanley Cup Final. Pre-game coverage begins at 6 p.m. ET on NBCSN with a two-hour edition of NHL Live.

Five-time Emmy Award-winner Mike “Doc” Emrick (play-by-play), U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame member Eddie Olczyk (analyst), and Emmy Award-winner Pierre McGuire (‘Inside-the-Glass analyst) will call 2017 Stanley Cup Final – their 11th consecutive Stanley Cup Final as a broadcast team.

Host Liam McHugh will anchor pre-game, intermission and studio coverage on-site throughout the series, alongside analysts and former players Mike Milbury and Keith Jones. In addition, Kathryn Tappen and Paul Burmeister will host coverage from outside sets in Pittsburgh and Nashville, alongside analysts and former players Jeremy Roenick, Brian Boucher, and Anson Carter.

Pre-game coverage on Monday night from PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh will include features on Nashville’s P.K. Subban and Filip Forsberg, Penguins captain Sidney Crosby, and Penguins hero Chris Kunitz, who scored twice in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Final against Ottawa, including the series-clincher in double overtime.

TONIGHT AT 8 P.M. ET ON NBCSN – NHL GREATS SHARE STANLEY CUP STORIES IN “NAMES ON THE CUP” DOCUMENTARY

As the 2017 Stanley Cup Final draws closer, the salutes to the NHL Centennial and the 125thanniversary of the Stanley Cup continue with the release of “NAMES ON THE CUP,” a documentary film showcasing the extraordinary and compelling story of the men whose names are forever immortalized on one of the oldest and most revered trophies in professional sports. Featuring more than 70 NHL players and coaches – past and present – and narrated by Emmy Award-winning actor Kiefer Sutherland, the documentary will air tonight at 8 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

In the 90-minute documentary, some of the greatest players in League history share stories of how winning the Stanley Cup changed their lives, thrilled their communities, and inspired millions of their countrymen. NAMES ON THE CUP also explores the dramatic effects of losing in the Stanley Cup Final and the realization that hoisting the iconic trophy is elusive.

The documentary stars legendary players and coaches spanning the last seven decades, including Scotty Bowman, Don Cherry, Yvan Cournoyer, Sidney Crosby, Phil Esposito, Bob Gainey, Wayne Gretzky, Patrick Kane, Guy Lafleur, Ted Lindsay, Lanny McDonald, Mark Messier, Bobby Orr, Bernie Parent and many, many more recounting humorous, inspiring and heartbreaking stories of their individual quests for the Stanley Cup.
