NBC Sports Announces Horse Racing Plans

NBC Sports has extended its partnership with TVG through at least the end of May, it was announced today.

NBCSN will continue to simulcast TVG’s Trackside Live from Friday through Sunday every week through at least Sunday, May 31, as the networks team up to bring more horse racing to more fans.

Headlining Trackside Live in the coming months will be live coverage of the $750,000 Arkansas Derby on Saturday, May 2, from Oaklawn in Hot Springs, Arkansas. The winner of the Grade 1 race earns 100 qualifying points towards the Sept. 5 Kentucky Derby. The last Arkansas Derby winner to triumph in the Kentucky Derby was historic 2015 Triple Crown winner American Pharoah.

Anchored by several TVG on-air talent who cover racing every day, including TVG host and NBC Sports reporter Britney Eurton, Trackside Live provides fans with live horse racing from various tracks across the country.

NBCSN simulcasts of TVG Trackside Live continue this weekend, April 17-19 from 4-8 p.m. ET each day.

Live coverage will be streamed live on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app – NBC Sports Group’s live streaming product for mobile devices, tablets, and connected TVs.
