The Yankees last played on August 20. Around the conclusion of that game it was announced that the game against the Mets was postponed due to positive Covid-19 tests in the Mets organization. For safety, the entire series was postponed. The game against the Braves that was supposed to take place yesterday, was rained out and is being played as part of today’s doubleheader. Will the long layoff help or hurt the Yankees who reinstated Aaron Judge from the IL for the series.

With a pitching change by the Yankees for the inning after Cole allowed a double and a walk, another walk scored for the Braves.

Braves win 5-1.
