ORLANDO, Fla. (July 7, 2015– Golf Channel and NBC will televise more than 25 combined hours of live coverage of the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open from Gullane Golf Club, showcasing an elite field that features 15 of the top-50 in the Official World Golf Ranking including Rickie Fowler, Justin Rose, Jimmy Walker and Phil Mickelson. 57 players in the field are scheduled to compete in next week’s Open Championship at St. Andrews. Golf Channel will carry live coverage on Thursday and Friday, as well as early-round play on Saturdayand Sunday leading into the conclusion on third and final round play on NBC. Rich Lerner will hande play-by-play duties and Brandel Chamblee will join him in the 18th tower as lead analyst, while Curt Byrum and Tom Abbott will serve as hole announcers and Jay Townsend will walk inside the ropes as an on-course reporter. On the PGA TOUR, World No. 2 Jordan Spieth is making his first start since winning the U.S. Open three weeks ago at the site of his inaugural PGA TOUR win at the John Deere Classic in Illinois, with 19 players in the field set to compete in the Open Championship. Tom Lehman defends his title at the Champions Tour’s Encompass Championship, also staged in Illinois, and the field includes eight players competing in the Open Championship. And the Web.com Tour will air in primetime at the Albertsons Boise Open.
