We are finally at one of the biggest events in college basketball—MARCH MADNESS! If you think I actually know what this is, then you must be new here. As you all know, this website began thanks to a friend teasing me about my lack of sports knowledge and desire to learn. As it turns out, the ‘Sammi Thoughts’ were nowhere near close to what was right in the world of sports. (Imagine that! However, I still stand by my argument that a tight end in football is a guy with a great ass. Have you SEEN some of those men? But I digress)
When I thought of March Madness, I thought it was when people were going mad due to the end-of-winter/beginning-of-spring weather. Of course,that was wrong….although, I am going mad because I leave my house with a warm coat and don’t need it midday, which is a pain because I have to carry said coat…so maybe that is a different kind of March Madness? Hmmmm….
Anyway,here is what March Madness really is, as per the NCAA: “The NCAA Division I men’s basketball tournament is a single-elimination tournament of 68 teams that compete in seven rounds for the national championship. The penultimate round is known as the Final Four, when (you guessed it) only four teams are left.”
March Madness Brackets: Similar to playing a fantasy football game, this is when fans predict what teams will win.
