TV IN HIGH HEELS: DANCING WITH THE STARS RECAP FOR SEPTEMBER 19, 2016

dancing with the starsTV IN HIGH HEELS: DANCING WITH THE STARS RECAP FOR SEPTEMBER 19, 2016

Hello and welcome to Dancing With The Stars on ABC. Tonight our couples will learn new dances to TV theme songs. It is an episode theme I love so the fact that my DVR decided to be stupid AF and NOT tape half the episode has me angrier than Sonny Corinthos when Julian Jerome is up to no good. Anyway, I will look up what I can and continue from there.

Maureen and Artem—Quickstep to Brady Bunch theme song because what the hell else would Marcia, Marcia, Marcia dance to? I think it is cute Florence Henderson is there with her and that they actually danced to the same song. 7-6-6-7=26 out of 40

Jana and Gleb—Tango to One Tree Hill theme. I forgot she was on that show until the cast announcement. Apparently, she got hurt, but powered through everything. 7-8-7-7=29 out of 40

Rick and Emma—Quickstep to Green Acres—6-5-5-6=22 out of 40

Calvin and Lindsay—Foxtrot to Family Matters theme song—7-7-7-7=28 out of 40

Amber and Maks—Viennese waltz to Game Of Thrones theme—6-6-6-6=24 out of 40

Jake and Jenna—Cha cha to Go Diego Go! This is adorable and I love the jungle theme. I think this is one of the shows my goddaughter loves, I know she is obsessed with Dora at least. Andddddd……now this damn theme song is in my head. They seem to have good chemistry and he seems to be improving in terms of footwork. However, Carrie Ann and Len right, he does force it a bit and he is ahead of the music at some points. 6-6-6-6=24 out of 40

Vanilla Ice and Witney—Foxtrot to Married….With Children theme—The two them totally channel Al and Peg Bundy. I love it and totally want Witney’s dress. He is slow and deliberate with his footwork, but it is obvious he is focused on doing well and not disappointing anyone. He is my favorite so far. Bruno is right, he needs to work on some things, but overall he seems to be in this to win it. Carrie Ann thinks he has moves, but needs to work on a happy medium with them. Also, yay happy LEN!!! 6-7-6-7=26 out of 40

Terra and Sasha—Quickstep to Bewitched theme—She is adorable and I love her personality. They seem to have good chemistry and her footwork improved from last week. I also think her lines are beautiful, as is their hold. Sasha is also a universal Dick. (when Tom asked about him being more like Dick York or Dick Sargent) The judges are in love! 8-7-8-8=31 out of 40

Babyface and Allison—Argentine Tango to X Files theme—This is a sci-fi nerd dance lover’s dream come true. I love all the special effects and holy cow at those moves. Passion, fire and hotness all around. The lines and footwork are spot on and I think they just made themselves contenders.  8-7-7-8=30 out of 40

Laurie and Val—Jive  to Duck Tales theme—SO CUTE! I forgot how young she is because she had no clue about the show. Maybe I am old? I cannot even focus on her dancing because she is just about the cutest thing to happen to this show in a long time. The judges are also in love! Julianne even quips that she gets it because it is a show from her generation. 8-8-8-8=32 out of 40

James and Sharna—Paso Doble to Walking Dead theme—That went by way too quickly for me. I am not a fan of Walking Dead, actually I never even watched it, but I do love this theme song. He really did well for someone who had limited time to rehearse this season. He really got into the theme and the dance, incredible moves and artistry. I think he is one we are going to have to watch for this season. I agree that there is room for improvement, but overall it is a good performance. 7-7-7-8=29 out of 40

Marilu and Derek—Foxtrot to Taxi theme—Is he dressed like the dude from Taxi? I know he said he had trouble thinking of a dance, but that was awesome. The lines and hold were gorgeous and they really seemed to pull of a very difficult performance with ease. 7-8-7-7=29 out of 40

Ryan and Cheryl—Quickstep to Muppet Show theme—This is one of my favorite theme songs. I think he’s got a good sense of humor to put this off. There needs to be work on his footwork and posture, but he had fun, which made the performance that much better. The judges tell him to improve on this as well. 6-6-6-6=24 out of 40
