Grocery Delivery=New Shelving?

First, I want to say that Instacart is a lifesaver. I was able to get all my groceries delivered to my door and got everything I needed for the month for less than $120. This included the service charge, tip and the shrimp that was on sale at Aldi. I even got free delivery (separate from the service charge), thanks to buying certain items I was going to get anyway.

However, my post has less to to with my successful shopping trip and more to do with the fun adventure I had putting said items away.

::Cue WTF looks:: I know, you’re probably wondering what I am talking about and why I would find putting groceries away so much fun. Okay, so maybe fun is the wrong word…..the point is, I was able to find a place for everything in my tiny apartment without going crazy.

The dude who delivered my groceries gave me boxes for my water bottles,  milk and juice so they wouldn’t break the bags. Normally, I  would toss them, as they take up too much room and who needs so many boxes?

HOWEVER, my girl Jenny of chaostoalm.blog fame once again came to my rescue. Her last post was about finding a new purpose for things. So instead of tossing those perfectly good, uniquely shaped boxes,I turned them into shelves. Best of all, they were FREE and I don’t have to go to the store and buy expensive shelving or containers to put things.  They may not look very pretty, but at least they serve a purpose and save me money. That,  my friends, is important, especially in this day and age.
