STAMFORD, Conn. – May 8, 2019 – NBC Sports presents its second consecutive Western Conference win-or-go-home Game 7 on NBCSN tonight at 9 p.m. ET. Nathan MacKinnon and the Colorado Avalanche visit Erik Karlsson and the San Jose Sharks with a trip to the Western Conference Final at stake. Pre-game coverage begins at 8 p.m. ET on NBCSN with NHL Live.

Chris Cuthbert (play-by-play), Joe Micheletti (analyst), and Emmy Award-winner Pierre McGuire (‘Inside-the-Glass’ analyst) will have the call from SAP Center in San Jose.

GAME 7 – COLORADO AVALANCHE AT SAN JOSE SHARKS TONIGHT AT 9 P.M. ET ON NBCSN

The Avalanche forced tonight’s Game 7 with a 4-3 overtime victory in Game 6 in Denver on Monday night. J.T. Compher had three points (2g/1a) for Colorado in regulation and captain Gabriel Landeskog scored the game-winner for the Avs in overtime to avoid elimination. Colorado is now one win away from reaching the Western Conference Final for the since time since 2002, while San Jose seeks their second  Western Conference Finals appearance in the last four seasons. This marks the second consecutive series that the Sharks will host a Game 7 after defeating the Vegas Golden Knights, 5-4, in a Game 7 overtime thriller in the First Round of the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

CONFERENCE FINALS COVERAGE BEGINS TOMORROW NIGHT WITH GAME 1 OF BRUINS-HURRICANES AT 8 P.M. ET ON NBCSN

Coverage of the 2019 Conference Finals begins tomorrow night at 8 p.m. ET on NBCSN, as Brad Marchand and the Boston Bruins host Justin Williams and the Carolina Hurricanes in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final at TD Garden in Boston. The Bruins defeated the Blue Jackets in six games to advance to their first Eastern Conference Final since 2013. Carolina swept the Islanders in the Second Round to clinch their first trip to the Eastern Conference Final since 2009. Six-time Emmy Award-winner Mike “Doc” Emrick (play-by-play), U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame member Eddie Olczyk, and Brian Boucher (‘Inside-the-Glass’ analyst) will have the call of Game 1 in Boston.

Pat Maroon and the St. Louis Blues defeated Jamie Benn and the Dallas Stars last night in a 2-1 Game 7 double-overtime thriller in St. Louis, and will face the winner of tonight’s Avalanche-Sharks Game 7 in the Western Conference Final.
