9/24 – Yankees @ Blue Jays

The final game between the Blue Jays and the Yankees. Will this be another blowout like the first three games of the series?

The Blue Jays get the game started with a home run in the second inning by Vladimir Guerrero Jr. Bo Bichette adds on in the third with a RBI double to bring home Cavan Biggio. 2-0 Blue Jays.

Both teams kept runner from scoring through the sixth. Adam Ottavino comes on to pitch for the Yankees with one out and a runner on first. Guerrero gets a base hit and Ottavino strikes out the next batter. Alejandro Kirk at the plate, a bases clearing double to left field. Another base hit and a stolen base before Ottavino gets out of the inning. 4-0 Blue Jays.

Bottom of the eighth, it’s beginning to look like the Yankees are getting shut out. Anthony Bass takes the ball for Toronto. He gets Luke Voit to line out, but then issues two walks. A forceout at second leaves New York with 4 outs left in the game. Gio Urshela gets a base hit that allows Aaron Hicks to score and prevents the shut out. Clint Frazier walks to load the bases. A pitching change to Rafael Dolis who gets Gary Sanchez to fly out to center field.
