NHL Stanley Cup Playoff News

NBC Sports today announced the broadcast details for this weekend’s exclusive coverage of the 2020 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs on NBC and NBCSN, highlighted by a pair of Second Round primetime matchups on NBC.

The Second Round begins play tonight at 8 p.m. ET on NBC, when the (2) Colorado Avalanche face the (3) Dallas Stars in a Game 1 showdown in primetime. Sunday’s coverage begins at 8 p.m. ET on NBC with Game 1 between the (2) Tampa Bay Lightning and (4) Boston Bruins. Coverage shifts to NBCSN at 10:30 p.m. ET with Game 1 between the (1) Vegas Golden Knights and the (5) Vancouver Canucks.

The (1) Philadelphia Flyers and (6) New York Islanders will begin their Second Round series on Monday evening, with puck drop at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

NBC Sports’ Stanley Cup Playoff exclusivity originates with the Second Round and continues through the Stanley Cup Final. All games will air exclusively on NBC, NBCSN, USA Network, or CNBC, and will stream exclusively on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app. There is no more live game coverage on regional sports networks.

The Stanley Cup Playoffs bolster a weekend of big events across NBC Sports, which also includes NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series doubleheaders on Saturday and Sunday and coverage of the 104th Running of the Indianapolis 500 on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET on NBC.
